INTERNAL POLICIES

Donation Requirements

  • Must be purely philanthropic in nature
  • Are not to be used for sales or promotion purposes
  • Must be given to an approved nonprofit organization
  • A reasonable percentage of total income from all sources shall be applied to programs and activities directly related to the purposes for which the organization exists
  • The CNSCI Board must approve ALL donations. The purpose is to ensure proper allocation of funds and to prevent "double-dipping" (when charitable organizations request and receive funds from different entities, private or public).

Member Suggestions

  • The above donation requirements apply
  • The CNSCI Board must approve requests.
  • Since funds are limited, it must be something that the board is aware of and supports with volunteer efforts
  • Funding requests must be submitted by March 1 to be considered for that same year

These guidelines are meant to protect CNSCI as well as to protect the officers who are responsible for its actions. We desire to operate with the utmost of integrity and to be wise stewards with the funds entrusted to us.
